What to Check

  • When playing "Left Only", sound should come only from your left ear/speaker.
  • When playing "Right Only", sound should come only from your right ear/speaker.
  • When playing "Stereo", sound should be equal in both ears/speakers.
  • If left and right are swapped, your headphones may be worn backwards.
  • If one side is significantly quieter, the driver or cable may be damaged.

  1. Make sure your headphones or speakers are connected and volume is at a comfortable level.
  2. Click a channel button (Left, Stereo, or Right) to play a 440Hz sine wave.

My left and right channels seem swapped. What should I do?

Can this test check surround sound?
